Uruguay want to get ready for next round 7 at the South American Qualifiers, when they face Colombia; that's why they agreed to play a friendly game against Japan, which are also warming up for the Asian Qualifiers.

Japan coach Takeshi Okada said that it will be a "quite important" game for the team, according to Japanese news agency Kyodo.
