Pinto alters starting team
Colombia coach Jorge Luis Pinto announced he's thinking of a different lineup to
meet Chile at the Qualifiers on Wednesday in relation to the team which lost to
Uruguay.
Jorge Luis Pinto is not glad with Colombia's last performance at the South
American Qualifiers; last Saturday, they lost 1-0 to Uruguay, so he will make
some changes for next match against Chile.
"I'll make four changes because I need to strengthen some spots on the field; we
won't get defensive, we'll aim being offensive too," Pinto said.
Colombia coach announced Pedro Portocarrero and Pablo Armero will replace
Estiven Velez and Camilo Zuņiga respectively; the rest of the lineup "will be
decided between Monday and Tuesday. As for the midfield, I'm thinking of other
kind of changes."
Jose Amaya will be included in the midfield line, but Pinto hasn't decided yet
who will support him on the wings.
To Pinto's mind, Chile are a team "full of talent individually speaking. They
are quite strong at the attack, they can change the rhythm of the game, but we
have one advantage: we count on taller players .The key is to freeze them and
profit from the gaps they may leave."
