Heat, a tough rival
Chile had to shorten their first practice session due to Puerto La Cruz high
temperature. Will the squad be able to bear it during Thursday's match against
Venezuela?
Chile shortened Tuesday's first practice due to the great heat affecting the
city of Puerto La Cruz, where Thursday's match against Venezuela will be staged,
in round six at the South American Qualifiers.
Marcelo Bielsa's side reached the ground next to Jose Antonio Anzoategui stadium
early in the morning, in a temperature of 93.2F.
Because of this, the coach had to change his plans, reducing the practice to
half an hour since many players felt the strong heat, following their 2-0 win
over Bolivia, in La Paz's low temperatures.
