Thinking on Brazil and Bolivia

Paraguay practice for next games against Brazil and Bolivia at the South American Qualifiers for next 2010 FIFA South Africa World Cup.

Paraguay will face Brazil on June 15 at Defensores del Chaco stadium in fifth round at the 2010 World Cup South American Qualifiers.

The team coached by Gerardo Martino, which are at the top of the standings, will meet Bolivia in La Paz three days later. Watch the game on JumpTV.

The Paraguayan Soccer Association (APF) announced the 20-player list on Monday; all the players perform abroad, and it is said that the rest of the list will be announced by Thursday or Friday.

The APF confirmed that nine of the players called by Martino will attend the first practice at Centro de Alto de Rendimiento Deportivo in Ypane, near Asuncion.

Paulo Da Silva (Toluca, MEX), Denis Caniza (Cruz Azul, MEX), Julio Manzur (Pachuca, MEX), Dario Veron (Puma UNAM, MEX), Edgar Barreto (Reggina, ITA), Jonathan Santana (Wolfsburg, GER), Roque Santa Cruz (Blackburn, ENG), Nelson Haedo (Borussia Dortmund, GER) and Oscar Cardozo (Benfica, POR) are some of the players called by Gerardo Martino to attend the first practice.

Paraguay, which drew scoreless against France in an international friendly in Toulouse, rank first at the South American Qualifiers with ten points; Argentina rank second with nine points, Brazil and Colombia have eight points.

Before the friendly game against France, Paraguay drew 1-1 against Ivory Coast and 0-0 against Japan in 2008 Kirin Cup, which was held in Japan.
